The Lock Down!!
Hi friends...
Today is Saturday the 28th of March.
On the fourth day of nation's lock down; many may be feeling frustrated, some may feel scary while a few others certainly felt isolated and uprooted. The COVID-19 has quarantined us.
During this period of difficulty, we have locked us down and imposed social distancing on ourselves. But the unwilling creativity inside us is ready to unshackle itself to come out and reach one another. In my case, I chose to blog for the next few days. No doubt, these are my baby steps in blogging to share information about culinary art.
We Indians know, to reach one's heart is through his stomach and I found it most satisfying to cook and serve the one we love the most, our family😗.
I have come out with the first set of a healthy recipe.

Lemon Grass Tambuli
(A traditional Havyaka summer dish with rice)
Lemon grass is a herb looks like common grass having aroma of lemon when you squeeze the grass. here is a general information about the herb.
Details of the recipe:
For three people you need 6-8 fresh grass blades. Cut them into pieces and make juice of it using half cup of water. Grate fresh coconut about half cup (pic. 1)
Grind coconut using grass juice and make it a typical Rasam consistancy.Don't use water. Then, add little Jaggery powder and salt according to taste. (pic. 2)
Season with coconut oil, cumin (jeera) and mustard and finally squeeze half a lemon into it. (pic.3)
At this point, using curry leaves and Asafoetida (hing) will supress the flavour of lemon grass.
You can add green chillies during seasoning to make it spicy. But I will not recommend this point of time (pandemic). It is an anti-oxidant and immunity booster. You can have with rice or drink just like rasam. Another quarantine tambuli after a day or two. Thats all folks. Enjoy.
