It's my chemistry with plants and birds urged me to study botany. In early childhood everyone love to study biology, as the subject is close to nature and concrete. But when the subject horizon widens people fed up  with the crazy Latin Greek words, some may loose interest. For me, Botany is all-time favourite. Everybody was struggling with ups and downs of the life, then entered Corona.In a way it gave me an opportunity to sit back and think. During first phase of lockdown everyone expected it would end soon so did I,. But when extended I realised and took a long term plan to soothe body and mind. An empty site besides my home come to my rescue. Durgappa a construction labour helped me to prepare the soil. Dreams rolled over the soil; he too dreamt of growing vegetables. No sooner had we showed seeds than Durgappa and his wife left for their native. Soon, we ended up with an experience of a Sanyasi becoming Sansaari (the story of monk who brought home the world to rear...

"ನಿದ್ದೆ" ಇದು ಬಂದ್ರೆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮರೀಬಹುದು. ಬರದಿದ್ರೆ ??? ಬರೆದಿದ್ರೆ ಎನ್ನುವ ವಿಚಾರವೇ ಒಮ್ಮೊಮ್ಮೆ nightmare ಆಗಿ ಕಾಡಿ ಅದಕ್ಕೇ ನಿದ್ದೆ ಬರದಿದ್ದುದುಂಟು.. ಕೆಲವರು ಸಂತೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಿದ್ದೆ ಮಾಡಬಲ್ಲರು, ಅವರು ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಕೆಲವರು ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಲಗಿ ಗೊರಕೆ ಹೊಡೆದು ಆಮೇಲೆ ನಿದ್ದೆ ಆಗಿಲ್ಲ ಎನ್ನುವವರೂ ಉಂಟು. ಅವರ ಬಗ್ಗೆಯೂ ನಾನೂ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಒಂದು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯ ಜನ ನಿದ್ರಾಹೀನತೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅಂದರೆ ನಿಗದಿತ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ, ಆಳವಾದ ನಿದ್ರೆ ಇಲ್ಲದೇ ಇರುವುದರಿಂದ ತೊಂದರೆ ಪಡುವವರು. ಸುಮಾರು ೪೦ ವಷ೯ ದಾಟಿದವರೆಲ್ಲ ಈ ಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಅನುಭವಿಸಿಯೇ ಇರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯವಾಗಿ ನಮಗೆ ನಿದ್ದೆ ಏಕೆ ಬರ್ತಾ ಇಲ್ಲ ಎನ್ನುವ ವಿಚಾರ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ವಿಶ್ಲೇಷಣೆ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಅಥ೯ ಆಗುವಂತದ್ದೇ. ಯೌವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರೀತಿ, ಮದ್ಯ ವಯಸ್ಸಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿಂತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಇಳಿ ವಯಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ವಯೋ ಸಹಜವಾಗಿ ನಿದ್ರಾ ಹೀನತೆ ಆಗುವುದು ಗೊತ್ತಿರುವ ವಿಷಯವೇ. ನಿದ್ರಾ ಹೀನತೆಗೆ ಬೇಕಾದಷ್ಟು ಸಲಹೆ ಸೂಚನೆ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಕೊಡುವುದೇ, ಆದರೆ ಯಾವುದನ್ನು ನೆನಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳೋಣ ಹೇಳಿ? ಹವ್ಯಕ ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣರಲ್ಲಿ ನಿದ್ರಾಹೀನತೆಗೆ ಮೊದಲು ಸಿಗುವ ಸಲಹೆ, ಅಪ್ಪೇಹುಳಿ ಊಟ ....ಇದು ನಮ್ಮ ಗುರುತಿನ ಚೀಟಿಯೇ ಸೈ. ಹವ್ಯಕೇತರರು ನೀಡುವ ಸಲಹೆ ಗಸಗಸೆ ಪಾಯಸ. ಈ ಕೊರೋನ ಸೋಂಕು, ಸಾವು,‌ ಲಾಕ್ ಡೌನ್.... ಮುಂದೇನು?
