Day 9 of lock down
Jai Sriram,
Chaitra Maasa
Shukla Paksha Navami
Punarvasu nakshatra...
An Auspicious day for Hindus.
On this day of Thretayuga Lord Sriram was born.
Though he was the incarnation of Maha Vishnu, Sriram went through all the trauma and turmoil of a human being.
No other character in any mythology/history has shown as much strength and resolve in following Dharma. He was the epitome of righteousness.
Imagine how difficult it would be for a prince to undergo Vana Vasa. He left behind all the comforts and paraphernalia to live the life of an ascetic.
We just finished 9 days of isolation with all the luxuries at our disposal. Still, we have not stopped nagging.
Did we ever think of living the life of an ascetic? Don't worry. On this Rama Navami, we need not feel the heat of vanavasa Instead, we surrender to the Almighty to help us to come out of this unprecedented situation. My father always says: just chanting the name of Rama itself is enough to overcome the obstacles and he means it and experienced it in the past.
"Bharjanam Bhava beejaanam
Arjanam sukhasampadam
Tarjanam yamadhootanam
Rama ramethi garjanam"
A hymn from Ramaraksha sthrotram.
Let the miracle happen, we believe God is Omnipotent, he is in Anu, Renu, Thruna and Kastha (in every thing and everywhere). Only thing I can pray at this point in time is: Let the Almighty send the medicine in air, so that everyone will be cured from this virus.
