Life during the pandemic.
Hello everyone,
Five days left for the completion of the first phase of the national lock-down. Everyone knows that it wil not end on 14th April. It may take much longer time to come out of this cage. Things are getting worse. Life will not be same as before. If we look back and analyse how this virus might have come to human life, we can come to a view that the greed has brought us to this situation. Man's greed to taste the blood of every living creature. The greed of developed countries to rule the world. The greed of a common man for amassing wealth, status and fame. Yes, everyone of us had our bit of share to exploit the mother nature. The result? All of us are living under fear of one virus.
However, there is a silver lining: Doctors, healthcare workers and paramedics are fighting day and night to contain the spread of disease. If we see the visuals on TV, it looks like 90% of the people are cooperating with the authority and it is the rest of ten percent who may spoil the game. They do not strictly follow social distancing nor do they respect lockdown. Beneath every story of human misery due to lock down, lies several hundred accounts of people misusing and abusing the magnamity and charity. People with air coolers want the government to give subsidised food grains at their doorstep. These are the people whom we can see playing cards throwing the rules of lock down into air. One of my friends, who is on duty, told me an account that when they went to give food grains, people asked for or 'cover' (containing money), as if saaheb has come to distribute freebies during elections. If this is the kind of situation we see during charity, one can presume whether we as a country are serious to thwart the panemic?
Anyhow finally we have to rely on our heatlh to struggle for more worst days to face.
Today I am not posting any recipes. Instead I visualised and following a lifestyle module that I want to share with you.
# Gargling with salt water in the morning and evening and whenever you are back from outside.
# Whatever may be the type of your workouts do include these pranayama mudras at the end.
Press together the fingernails of the middle fingers while keeping the other fingers extended. Keep this mudra right in front of your chest and start breathing. Exhalation should be more longer. You can do it for 5 times a day for five minutes
2. Bronchial mudra
As the name suggests this mudra is very good for respiratory problems. Do it with both hands keeping on your knee. Place the little finger at the base of the thumb, the ring finger on the upper thumb joint and the middle finger on the the top soft portion of the thumb. The index finger should be extended.
3. Linga mudra:
Place both palms together and clasp your fingers. One thumb remains upright and encircled by the thumb and index finger of the other hand. Keep both hands in front of the chest. This mudra boosts the body's immune system and loosens mucous in the lungs.
